Oskar, from Brighton.

OSK is Oskar Cunningham, a rapper, producer and bandleader who started out as a student at the University of Sussex. His dad is a drummer. He got serious about music during lockdown, building beats from scratch with live instruments instead of samples, and counts Tupac and soul music among his influences.

The sound is UK hip hop rooted in soul, jazz and funk, shaped by personal experience and by growing up in this country. The songs are about healing, balance, community and family, and these days they're played with a full band.
